The Competitor History Graph shows the historical price developments of your competitors, both in graph and table form, allowing you to see how prices have evolved over time.
The Competitor History Graph in RevControl is a powerful tool that allows you to track the historical price developments of your competitors. This helps you identify patterns and adjust your pricing strategy accordingly.
Navigation:
You can find the Competitor History Graph by navigating to Rates > Competitors > History Graph. In the blue bar at the top, you can set the arrival date, date range, and other filters, such as the number of persons, rate type (e.g., Flexible BAR), meal plan options, and Length of Stay (LOS).
Graph and Table View:
The Competitor History Graph offers the ability to view price trends in both graph and table formats.
- Graph View: This view displays the price development of your competitors over the selected period in the form of lines. Each line represents a different hotel, and by hovering over the lines, you can view specific prices and details for certain dates. You can see how prices have evolved, for example, what today’s price was three months ago and how it has adjusted to the current price.
- Manage Lines: Lines in the graph can be hidden by clicking on the corresponding item in the legend below the graph. This helps focus on specific competitors or trends.
- Table View: By switching the filter “Show” from “Graph” to “Table,” you can view historical prices in table form. This provides a detailed overview of your competitors’ daily rates, as well as your own hotel’s published and recommended rates.

- Interactive: Hover over the lines in the graph to view prices and details for specific dates, or analyze the prices directly in the table view.
- Analyze Price Developments: Use the graph and table to see how rates have developed over time. This is essential for predicting future pricing strategies and optimizing your own pricing policy.
