Pickup alert report
The Pickup Alert report highlights days with unusual booking activity based on configurable alert rules. It helps you quickly identify opportunities or risks and adjust your pricing accordingly.
The Pickup Alert report shows days with significant changes in booking activity (pickup). Instead of using a fixed threshold, the report now works with flexible alert rules that you can configure per hotel.
This allows you to detect both:
- High pickup (increased demand)
- Low or negative pickup (cancellations or weak demand)
Where to find it
Go to:
Reports → Business on the Books → Pickup Alert
How does it work?
The report consists of a daily overview showing only the dates that match one or more alert rules.
At the top of the report, you will see the active alert rules displayed as filters, for example:
- Pickup last 7 days ≤ 0 Rooms, 0–30 days before arrival
- Pickup since yesterday ≥ 10 Beds, 0–365 days before arrival
Each rule determines which dates are shown in the report.
What data can you see?
For each date, the report shows:
- BOB (Business on the Books)
- Occupancy
- Room/Bed nights
- Revenue
- ADR / ABR
- Pickup data
- Change in nights and revenue
- Average rate
- Pickup segments (optional)
- Breakdown by segment (e.g. Leisure, Business)
How are alerts determined?
Days are shown in the report when they match an alert rule.
Each rule can be configured with:
- A threshold (e.g. ≥ 10 or ≤ 0)
- A pickup period (e.g. last 1, 7, or 14 days)
- A data type (Rooms or Beds)
- An arrival filter (e.g. days to arrival or specific dates)
This means:
- Alerts are fully configurable
- Multiple rules can be active at the same time
- The report only shows dates that meet at least one rule
Where do these rules come from?
The alert rules are configured in the settings.
You can access them directly from the report by clicking the ⚙️ settings icon in the top right corner.
Changes in these settings will directly affect:
- Which dates appear in the report
- What is considered “high” or “low” pickup
