Navigation:
You can find the Buckets Calendar in RevControl under Rates > Calendar > Buckets. In the blue bar at the top, you can select the start date. The calendar will then show an overview of the status of your buckets for each day within the selected period.
Daily Overview:
Each day in the calendar is divided into blocks that display the different buckets, such as “Promotion Rates” and “OTA (+25% comm)”. For each bucket, you’ll see a toggle switch:
- Green: The bucket is open.
- Red: The bucket is closed.
- Gray: RevControl has not yet sent any data to the PMS or channel manager.
Behind the toggle switch, a colored box may appear that indicates RevControl’s recommendation:
- A green box behind a red toggle switch means the recommendation is to open the bucket, but it is currently closed.
- A red box behind a green toggle switch means the recommendation is to close the bucket, but it is currently open.
Occupancy Rates and KPIs:
Below the name of each bucket, you’ll find KPIs such as the occupancy rate and forecast. These can be adjusted at the chain or user level via the settings Calendar Information Left and Calendar Information Right. These KPIs help you decide whether to open or close buckets.
Adjusting and Saving:
If you want to make a manual change, you can toggle the switch of a bucket. After adjusting the status of the buckets, you can click the Confirm all changes button to save the changes and send them to your PMS or channel manager. Additionally, there is an option to apply RevControl’s recommendations with one click by selecting Apply Recommendations.
Locking Buckets:
To prevent RevControl’s AutoPublish feature from overriding your manual changes, you can lock buckets. You do this by clicking the lock icon next to the bucket. Once a bucket is locked, RevControl’s AutoPublish settings will no longer change it, even if the system’s recommendations differ from your manual settings.
