The Compare History Actuals / Actuals report compares actual performance between two periods to gain insight into changes and trends, supporting you in optimizing your strategy.
The Compare History Actuals / Actuals report in RevControl provides a detailed comparison of actual performance (Actuals) between two different periods. For example, you can compare the results of a specific day this year with the same day last year, or any other selected periods.

You can find the Compare History Actuals / Actuals report under Reports > Compare History > Actuals / Actuals in RevControl.
What you see in the Compare History Actuals / Actuals report
This report is divided into three tables:
- Historical Actuals: The first table shows the performance data from the selected historical period, such as booked nights, revenue, occupancy rate, and average daily rate (ADR).
- Recent Actuals: The second table shows the same data for the current selected period.
- Actuals Comparison: The third table displays the differences between the historical and recent data. Positive differences are shown in green, indicating improved performance compared to the earlier period. Negative differences are shown in red, indicating a decline in performance.
How to use the Compare History Actuals / Actuals report
- Select Periods: Choose two different periods to compare, such as the same day or month from the previous year and this year.
- Analyze Differences: Use the third table to quickly see the differences between the two periods and understand where improvements or declines have occurred.
- Optimize Your Strategy: Based on the differences, you can decide which actions to take, such as adjusting prices or marketing strategies to achieve better results.
