      Group recommendation

      The Group Recommendation tool in RevControl calculates the ideal group booking rate and provides a detailed overview of recommended rates and related data.

      The Group Recommendation tool in RevControl is a powerful tool for calculating the right price for group bookings based on various data points such as the number of rooms, additional F&B revenue, banquet revenue, and other potential income. Here’s how to use this tool.

      Step 1: Fill in Basic Information

      To start, fill in the basic information for the group. This includes:

      • Group Name: The name of the group for which you are making the reservation.
      • Arrival and Departure Date: The dates on which the group arrives and departs.
      • Number of Rooms: The total number of rooms the group needs.
      • Business Segment: Select the business segment that matches your Property Management System (PMS).
      • Add Breakfast: If you want breakfast to be included in the price, you can check this option here. The price for breakfast will then be automatically added.
      • Additional Revenue: Enter the expected additional revenue from F&B, meeting rooms, and other possible sources.

      Step 2: Click on “Get Rate”

      After filling in all the required information, click the “Get Rate” button. RevControl will then calculate the recommended rate per room per night for the group.

      View Results

      After clicking “Get Rate,” the results will be displayed. If there is sufficient availability, you will see a green “OK” with the recommended rate. The screen will show a summary of the group booking, including all the details you previously filled in, such as the arrival and departure date, the number of nights, and the expected total revenue.

      Below the summary, a detailed daily view is displayed. Here you can see:

      • Number of Events: The number of events happening on the respective day.
      • BOB RN (Business on the Books Room Nights): The current booked room nights.
      • Forecast RN (Forecasted Room Nights): The forecasted room nights for that day.
      • Requested Rooms: The number of rooms requested by the group for that day.
      • Published Rate: The rate currently set.
      • Recommended Rate: The rate recommended by RevControl based on the provided data.

      This tool provides a simple and clear overview of the most relevant data you need to make an informed decision about group booking pricing.
