The Availability Report gives you a complete overview of room and bed availability in your hotel for the next 7 days, with options to adjust rates and view inventory status.
The Availability Report in RevControl provides a detailed overview of room and bed availability (if applicable) in your hotel for a 7-day period. This report helps you understand how many rooms or beds are available, sold, blocked (out of order), and taken out of inventory (out of inventory).
Navigating to the Availability Report
You can find the Availability Report in the menu under Reports > Business on the Books > Availability. In the top right corner, you can select a start date, after which the report will display availability for the next 7 days. You can easily adjust the displayed dates by clicking the arrows next to the start date.
Understanding the Report
The report shows the different room types and beds your hotel offers in a table format. For each room type, you can see the number of available, sold, blocked, and out-of-inventory rooms or beds per day.
- Available: The number of rooms or beds still available for sale.
- Sold: The number of rooms or beds that have already been sold.
- Out of Order: The number of rooms or beds temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or other reasons.
- Out of Inventory: The number of rooms or beds no longer available in the reservation system, for example, due to seasonal closure or renovation.
Rate Change Options
Below the availability data, there is a “Change Rates” button for each day in the report. This allows you to easily adjust the rates for specific days without leaving the report, giving you the flexibility to respond quickly to changes in supply and demand.
Expanded and Collapsed View
The report offers both an expanded and collapsed view. The expanded view displays all details per room type, while the collapsed view provides an overview of the total number of available, sold, blocked, and out-of-inventory rooms or beds.
