The Compare History BOB (Business on the Books) report in RevControl provides a detailed comparison between current and historical booking data. This report helps you see how your hotel is performing now compared to the same period in the past, such as last year or last month.
Where to find it?
You can find the Compare History BOB report under Reports > Compare History > BOB in RevControl.
What Do You See in the Compare History BOB Report?
The report is divided into three sections:
- Current BOB data: This section shows the current booking information, such as occupancy rate (Occ), room nights (RN), room revenue (Rev), and average daily rate (ADR).
- Historical BOB data: This part displays the same data, but for the selected date in the past. For example, you can see what you had booked on the same day last year.
- Comparison of data: Here, the current and historical data are compared side by side, with clear color coding to highlight differences. Red indicates you are behind last year’s performance, while green shows you are ahead.
How to use the Compare History BOB report?
- Select Date: Choose a comparison date, such as the same day last year, to see how your current data compares to the past.
- Select Columns: Choose which KPIs to compare, such as occupancy, revenue, and ADR.
- Analyze Differences: Use the color-coded differences to quickly see where you are ahead or behind, helping you identify trends.
- Optimize Strategy: Adjust your strategy based on the insights, such as implementing promotions or price adjustments to improve performance.
