With Bucket Rules in RevControl, you can automatically control whether rate groups are open or closed, based on current or forecasted occupancy levels. These rules can be set differently for each day of the week.
Bucket Rules in RevControl help you automatically determine when certain rate groups should be open or closed based on current or forecasted occupancy levels. This allows you, for example, to close high-commission rates during peak periods and keep promotional rates open when occupancy is lower.
How to Set Bucket Rules:
- Go to Settings > Rate Buckets > Bucket Rules.
- Set Default Open or Closed: Choose whether the bucket should be open or closed by default when no specific occupancy rule is applied.
- Set Occupancy Percentage: Specify the occupancy percentage for each day of the week. This percentage is based on Business on the Books (BOB) or Forecast. The bucket will automatically open or close when the set percentage is reached.
