      Pickup today report

      The Pickup Today report in RevControl shows the most recent booking data from today 0:00, without the option to select a period. It provides up-to-date information on occupancy, revenue, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).

      The Pickup Today report in RevControl provides a current overview of booking data from 0:00 today. This report is similar to the BOB report but distinguishes itself by showing the most recent data, without the option to select a period. This makes it a powerful tool for monitoring recent booking trends and making quick, strategic decisions.

      Where to find it?

      You can find the Pickup Today report under Reports > Business on the Books > Pickup Today in RevControl.

      What data can you see in the Pickup Today report?

      The Pickup Today report offers the same columns as the BOB report, but the data is updated every 15 minutes, depending on the number of updates from the PMS (BOB report is updated only at 0:00 nightly).

      Dates showing actuals (realized revenue/nights) are marked with an asterisk (*).

      This allows you to follow the most current booking developments. Here is an overview of the available columns:

      • Events & Weather
        • Events: Displays events that may affect bookings.
        • Event Notes: Additional notes related to the events.
        • Weather: Displays weather conditions for the selected period.
      • BOB Totals
        • BOB Total Occ: Displays the total occupancy percentage for the selected period.
        • BOB Total RN: Shows the total number of room nights booked.
        • BOB Total Avail: Displays the total number of rooms available.
        • BOB Total Room Rev: Shows the total revenue from rooms booked.
        • BOB Total ADR: Displays the average daily rate for the selected period.
        • BOB Total RevPAR: Revenue per available room, a key performance indicator.
        • BOB Total Budget Rev: Shows the budgeted revenue for rooms.
        • BOB Total Budget RN: Displays the budgeted room nights.
        • BOB Total Budget ADR: Budgeted average daily rate.
        • BOB Total Budget RevPAR: Budgeted revenue per available room.
        • BOB Total F&B Rev: Shows the total revenue from food and beverages.
        • BOB Total Other Rev: Displays the total revenue from other sources.
        • BOB Total Total Rev: Combined revenue from all sources.
        • BOB Total SpentPOR: Total spending per occupied room.

        • Pickup Total F&B Rev: Total food and beverage revenue picked up during the selected period.

        • Pickup Segment RevPAR: Revenue per available room for a specific segment during the selected period.

        • Pickup Segment F&B Rev: Revenue from food and beverages for a specific segment during the selected period.

        • Pickup Segment Other Rev: Revenue from other sources for a specific segment during the selected period.

        • Pickup Segment Total Rev: Combined revenue from all sources for a specific segment during the selected period.

        • Pickup Segment SpentPAB: Spending per available bed in a specific segment during the selected period.

      How to use the Pickup Today report?

      The Pickup Today report provides you with various filters and customization options:

      Unlike the BOB report, the Pickup Today report does not offer the option to select a period. It always shows the most recent status, and all pickup data is based on changes since 0:00 today. This gives you an up-to-date view of your hotel’s current performance, allowing you to respond quickly to new developments.

      • Number of Months: Determine how many months of data you want to view. The default is one month to ensure speed.
      • Select Columns: Choose which columns you want to include in the report. You can individually toggle each column on or off.
      • Split Segments: If you have different customer segments, you can display them separately instead of grouped together.
      • Group by KPI or Segment: Choose how to group the data, such as by KPI like occupancy and revenue, or by customer segment.

      Exporting Data

      You can export the Pickup Today report to Excel by clicking the green button with the “X.” The export will contain the data as filtered and selected in the report.
