Adding the correct Rate Plans is a crucial step before they can be linked to Room Type Supplements or Buckets.
Rate Plans in RevControl are essential for managing certain restrictions or automated settings, such as MinLOS (Minimum Length of Stay) or cancellation policies (CXL restrictions), and for configuring Rate Buckets. Below are the two main reasons why Rate Plans must be added to RevControl:
- Managing MinLOS or CXL restrictions:
For some PMS or channel managers, you can set which Rate Plans should have MinLOS or CXL restrictions applied. Before these Rate Plans can be activated (by linking them in the Room Type Supplements), they must first be added via Settings > Mapping > Rate Plans. - Using Rate Buckets:
When you use Rate Buckets to open or close Rate Plans, it is necessary to first add these Rate Plans to RevControl. Only then can they be linked to a Bucket.
Adding Rate Plans to RevControl:
- Automatic import: In some PMS or channel managers, you can automatically import the rate plans with a single click of a button (“Refresh Rate Plans”). This applies to systems like:
- Bookzo
- Camping.care
- Cubilis
- Mews
- Opera Cloud
- VIPS Cloud
- Manual addition: For other systems, it is necessary to manually enter the Rate Plan codes. This applies to systems like:
- Guestline
- protel (Air/OnPremise)
- IDPMS
- Sihot
- Siteminder
Where to find Rate Plans?
