My derived room type adopted the base room type’s maximum rate
When a derived room type suddenly matches the maximum rate of its base type, it is usually due to a settings combination that only the Customer Success Team can adjust.
Cause
This issue occurs when both settings below are configured as follows:

System or hotel settings: Enable “Max Rates” business rule for derived channels off
Derived room types do not have their own maximum rate and instead inherit it from the base room type. -
Export Setup (derived type): Check max rates on
The base room type’s maximum rate is used as a limit during export.
Result
If the derived type’s price is higher than the base type’s maximum rate, it will be automatically lowered to match that maximum.
Solution
These settings cannot be changed by users.
Contact the Customer Success Team and request to have Check max rates turned off for the affected derived type.
