How do I set a maximum rate?

Set maximum prices in RevControl per room type via Settings - Rates - Maximum rates to maintain an optimal price-quality ratio and avoid negative guest reviews.

In RevControl, you can set not only minimum prices but also maximum prices, either for the base type or per individual room type.

By default, maximum rates are disabled to encourage hoteliers and holiday park managers to optimize their rates. Often, they hesitate to charge more than a certain amount for a room or accommodation, potentially setting the maximum price below the actual value.

Setting a maximum rate can be useful to prevent guests from perceiving poor price-quality value above a certain price, which could lead to negative reviews. The tipping point at which guests become dissatisfied is often higher than expected. We encourage you to explore this tipping point before setting maximum prices.
